Your privacy is very important to me. So, I developed this policy in order for you to understand how I collect, use, communicate and make use of your personal information. Basically it comes down to, I'm going to treat you, and your information, with respect; just like I would want to be treated. There are some standard things that go on in the background of every site though, so here's a summary of that stuff.

Similar to other commercial websites, my website utilizes a standard technology called "cookies" (see explanation below) and server logs to collect information about how my site is used. At this point, I have no idea of how to access this information or what to do with it but, apparently it's collected by the system.

When you visit a website, that site's computer asks your computer for permission to store this file in a part of your hard drive specifically designated for cookies. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser's preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites. You don't have to let your computer accept cookies but if you don't have that option set up on your computer, you are getting cookies. They aren't as good as the ones you get from a friendly neighbor but they do help sites load faster.
IP Addresses
IP addresses are used by your computer every time you are connected to the Internet. Your IP address is a number that is used by computers on the network to identify your computer. IP addresses are automatically collected by my web server as part of demographic and profile data known as “traffic data” so that data (such as the Web pages you request) can be sent to you.
Email Information
If you choose to correspond with me through email, I may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and my responses. I provide the same protections for these electronic communications that I employ in the maintenance of information received online, mail and telephone. How Do I Use the Information That You Provide to Me?
Broadly speaking, I use personal information for purposes of administering my business activities, providing customer service and making available other items and services to my customers and prospective customers. Like when I use a suggestion you send me to create a post or send you a copy of an activity you requested. I may also send you an email once in a while to let you know of something great happening that you won't want to miss. Don't worry though, I don't like when a company sends me emails every day just because I wanted one bit of information from them, so I won't do that to you.
Confused to Confident will not obtain personally-identifying information about you when you visit my site, unless you choose to provide such information to me, nor will such information be sold or otherwise transferred to unaffiliated third parties without the approval of the user at the time of collection.
I may have to disclose information when legally compelled to do so, in other words, when I, in good faith, believe that the law requires it or for the protection of my legal rights. This shouldn't be a problem if we all are doing what is right but I have to let you know that illegal activity isn't okay and won't be allowed through my site.
Email Policies
I am committed to keeping your e-mail address confidential. I do not sell, rent, or lease my subscription lists to third parties, and I will not provide your personal information to any third party individual, government agency, or company, at any time unless strictly compelled to do so by law.
I will use your e-mail address solely to provide timely information about Confused to Confident.
I will maintain the information you send via e-mail in accordance with applicable federal law. My email programs make sure of it, they are very diligent in making sure I am including all the proper steps and information.
CAN-SPAM Compliance
In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, all e-mail sent from my organization will clearly state who the e-mail is from and provide clear information on how to contact the sender. In addition, all e-mail messages will contain concise information on how to remove yourself from my mailing list so that you receive no further e-mail communication from me. I would be sad if you didn't want to get emails from me, I would rather you just tell me what I could do that would make you like getting them, but, if you want complete separation, I will let you go without a fuss.
Choice/Opt-Out
My site provides you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from me, and my partners, (if I get any) by reading the unsubscribe instructions located at the bottom of any e-mail you receive from me at anytime.
Users who no longer wish to receive my newsletter or promotional materials may opt-out of receiving these communications by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the e-mail. If you opt-out of my weekly blog post email and you continue to get other emails from me, and you don't want them either, you can opt-out again to stop all emails.
Use of External Links

Confused to Confident cannot guarantee the accuracy of information found at any linked site, although I won't include links to inaccurate information on purpose. Links to or from external sites not owned or controlled by Confused to Confident, do not constitute an endorsement by Confused to Confident of the sponsors of these sites, or the products or information presented therein. Again, I won't be sending you anywhere I know is unworthy of your time but sites change and products and information can be different than when I linked to them. I can't be responsible for a site I have no control over. Please let me know though if you do come across a link that doesn't seem like something I would want posted.

How Do I Protect Your Information and Secure Information Transmissions?
Email is not recognized as a secure medium of communication. For this reason, I request that you do not send private information to me by email. However, doing so is allowed, but at your own risk. Some of the information you may enter on my website may be transmitted securely via a secure medium known as Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL. Credit Card information and other sensitive information is never transmitted via email and will never be asked for by email.
Confused to Confident may use software programs to create summary statistics, which are used for such purposes as assessing the number of visitors to the different sections of my site, what information is of most and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas. I set this up and it makes really neat graphs, haven't figured out what to do with all the information yet though. I've been told it will be helpful in making my site more beneficial to you, which I want to do.
For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, Confused to Confident uses software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.
